About Us
"The sound of acoustic and classical guitars has been a life-long obsession of mine. There are magical moments when all the right components come together – a beautiful guitar, a great guitarist and the right room."
In 1997 Charles Brotman launched Palm Records with his sister and built Lava Tracks Recording Studio - the room he had always looked for when recording. Brotman now spends most of his time writing and producing for film and TV but also has a performance career touring Japan with his band Kohala. He is president of The Hawaii Songwriting Festival, a non-profit festival held annually on Hawaii Island at the beautiful Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. He produces and engineers independent projects for Lava Tracks clients.
Pianist Karl Kasberg, and guitarist, harmonica player Luke Clebesch (AKA Truth Musiq), are also available to engineer.
